    Violet divorces you too quick in L.O.R.D., but if you marry her
    in L.O.R.D., you stay with her, unless you divorce her.

    I am not sure but, yes, they make some sort of difference. There is a
    door in the LORD 5.0 js version that allows you to adopt a child but I
    have forgotten what the benefit is.

    I think the benefit is more forest fights per day per child? And sometimes the children will help you fight attackers and monsters.
