it seems we get non-stop spam ADs about meetups that originate from your system then, via the usenet gating software.

could you do something about that?

    NO, as it's not spam.

i don't agree. they're unsolicited messages, without expectations of any sort of response, *advertising* an event that 100% of the users here won't attend.

they're then gated into an area where if people would like to read the other messages, they have to sift through them.

    Chicken Head,

So is anyone using a C64U today? Typing this on one now, using
Novaterm on a Synchronet BBS. Works great, has a built-in tcpser
    emulator that just works.

I did the same. Got mine about a month ago and love it... Really well rounded product I must say ...

One thing I wanted to learn how to do forever is assembly programming
on C64, so I've been doing that these past weeks.

My Developer Thoughts on YouTube has some great videos:

Yeah I had too. Mr Hand is what I used to call him. Now that I'm
learning ASM for the 8085 it would be good to see some of his
vids... After I learn my version and not confused. heh

i recently discovered the distributor for "Super Pascal" was right in town here (though the product was made in Germany)

it's at least somewhat neat to know they were probably translating the manuals and supporting it right around the corner from me.

apparently Abacus Software made it all the way to 2012.. not bad
